About Us

The purpose of this website is to provide resources to support the teaching and learning of Citizenship at KS3 and KS4 with some material for use post KS4. Its focus is the European Union, migration and human rights. With the UK leaving the EU in March 2019 there is a growing section on the process of the Brexit negotiations.

It contains substantial factual information on each of the three topics. For teachers there are lesson plans, worksheets including WebQuests, that draw on the resources of the site. The information is kept updated.

This site has two sponsors. One is the European Movement, a cross party voluntary organisation whose purpose is to promote public understanding of Europe in the UK and the impact of the European Union on everyday life. The other is the James Madison Trust, a voluntary organisation that provides support for the teaching about Europe in British universities.
